Public politics, agricultural space and territorial order

Abstract

The visiting professor will teach "Public Politics, Rural Space and Territorial Ordinance", with 45 hours (three credits) to the students in the Postgraduate Program in Geography, between October 26 and November 06, 2009; and will participate in a meeting with the members of the GEDRA - Grupo de Estudos Dinâmica Regional e Agropecuária (Study Group on the Regional and Agricultural/Cattle Raising Dynamics) and will conduct a field study at Pontal do Paranapanema between October 30 and 31, 2009 and between November 02 and 06 will conduct a field study at Region of Rio Verde, in the State of Goiás.Through the field study, the visitor will know the study area of Adriano Rodrigues de Oliveira, in the PhD program, with FAPESP scholarship, who attended a sandwich PhD program supervised by the guest at Département Géographie et aménagement of Université de Toulouse II - Le Mirail, between September 2008 and February 2009, and will provide contributions to the thematic project of FAPESP: "Socioenvironmental Dynamics, Local Development and Sustainability at São Paulo-Paraná-Mato Grosso do Sul Border" (Process 05/55505-3), coordinated by Professor Dr. Messias Modesto dos Passos, who is linked with the Postgraduate Program in Geography.In the Pontal of the Paranapanema it will be effected visits cooperative COCAMP, to the ITESP, the Plant of Alcídea Alcohol and to the Project of "Assentamento" XV of November. In the State of Goiás the visiting professor and the pupils registered discipline will visit the Agricultural Cooperative COMIGO in the city of Rio Verde, the CEFET and country properties that produce grains and possess aviaries that supply to chickens the company PERDIGÃO (Buriti Project).
