Abstract

Description of Dr. Jeka’s activities for the period from Nov 29th to Dec 14th: Workshop, four-hour long, pre-conference of III Brazilian Congress of Motor Behavior; Participation at the III Brazilian Congress of Motor Behavior opening ceremony; Keynote speaker at the III Brazilian Congress of Motor Behavior, with the theme Motor Behavior and Neurosciences Advance; Participation at the introduction of the first issue of the Brazilian Journal of Motor Behavior; Participation at the III Brazilian Congress of Motor Behavior; Meeting with the Movement Studies Laboratory members in order to learning about the facilities and experimental procedures and projects conducted at Movement Studies Laboratory; Analysis and data discussion of the following research projects: Coupling and adaptation processes between sensory information with different amplitudes and velocities and body oscillation in babies, children, and adults, research project developed by Paula Favaro Polastri trainee program; Adaptation in the use of sensory information in postural control: behavioral changes and mathematical modeling ;Explicit and implicit knowledge of environmental states in postural control. Lecture at the Graduate Program Ciências da Motricidade discipline, Posture, under the responsibility of Dr. Lililan Teresa Bucken Gobbi; Meeting with graduate students in order to introduce the Graduate Programs available at University of Maryland, Motor Behavior Major; Revision of the manuscripts that will submitted to publication; Visit to the São Paulo University in order to give a talk and to visit the Laboratory of Biophysics and meeting with students, under the supervision of Dr. Marcos Duarte.
