Abstract

Desiring to understand the women's universe who lived during the years of military dictatorship inside and outside Brazil the possible resistances and what kept and keeps them “engaged to the world”, despite the different paths, the book reflects on the trajectories of Nilce Cardoso, Danda Prado and Flávia Schilling. Following their own paths, Nilce that during the military dictatorship took pearl the popular action, having been imprisoned and tortured also Danda that from exile in the late sixties, became part of the feminist movement and Flávia that even during the eight years in prison in Uruguayan dungeons didn't lose her commitment to the world, seeking the category of the possible weaving “movements of intense affirmation of life”. Affirmation of life that, at the height of political repression, Nilce established through a constant investment in the friendship politics. Danda through the "feminist courage" who created space for libertarian feminism in Brazilian lands. Flavia, keeping constant revolutionary subjectivity, drawing the possible resistance during the years she spent in dungeons repression.
