Abstract

Some research reports indicate that Toxoplasma gondii parasity action occur by means of MIC proteins that interacts with carbohydrates presented in the glycoproteins located in the cellular membranes of the invaded cells. There is no knowledge about MICs lectin features. In this context the project presented herein has the purpose to study the MCI1 and MCI4 lectin features with some specific glycoproteins using the Quartz Crystal Microbalance Technique, aim to found the what is the highest carbohydrate affinitty.
