Mood disturbance, biochemical alterations and sleep complaints in dependence exercise deprivation

Abstract

Some studies report that exercise dependence individuals when deprived this activity develop changes psychobiological with obvious modification in mood, cognition and sleep with reflections the quality of life. However, know little about the changes in biochemical markers related to the welfare promoted by this practice, which opens up a range of questions about the behavior of these substances when there is deprivation, and the behavior associated with humor. The objective of this study is to evaluate the influence of deprivation on exercise practitioners who have positive scores for exercise dependence in relation to mood, sleep and behavior of biochemical markers. This study was approved by the Ethics Committee in Research/Hospital São Paulo of UNIFESP. Participation this study 20 healthy young, gender males 18 to 45 years, depending on the exercise that will be prevented from performing this activity for a week. On each day of deprivation, the volunteers will respond to questionnaires of mood, well-being and sleep, and blood collection (IL-6, b-endorphin, cortisol, testosterone, lactate, BDNF, anandamide, CK and LDH). To ensure that they do not carry out exercise, each volunteer will use an actigraphy allowing finer control and robust about their daily activities. (AU)
