Accuracy of impression techniques for an angulated implants in maxila

Abstract

The literature describes the use of tilted implants in the maxilla, close to the anterior wall of the maxillary sinus surgery avoids grafting the maxillary sinus, bringing the additional advantages of a better distribution of implants in unfavorable cases, increases the extent and strength of the prosthesis. The settlement of a liability is the most important prerequisites in oral rehabilitation on implants with immediate loading and maintenance of osseointegration. Because of the importance of achieving success in passive prosthetic rehabilitation on implants, the failure of consensus on the techniques of molding and the absence of studies that assess the rehabilitation molding based on the concept "All-on-4", this study aims to analyze "in vitro" the accuracy of different methods of molding prosthetic rehabilitation on implants installed in a bent metal anatomical model toothless jaw. Variables in this study are the types of trays (metal & plastic), the molding technique (open and closed) and the methods of union square of transfers (No union, together with sticks Pattern resin and prefabricated metal sticks together with cyanoacrylate resin and Pattern). After obtaining the molds (ExpressTM 3M/ESPE XT), they will be cast with type IV gypsum (Fuji Rock EP) under vacuum tooling. Fabricated metal structures on the metal matrix models obtained will be screwed. In the presence of cracks, measurements must be made by a program (Leica QWin) that will receive images from a video camera attached to a Leica lens (100X). Nevertheless, it is expected to understand the behavior of molding techniques for implant-prosthesis in an anatomical model metal jaw. (AU)
