The mental health system in the context of PET mental health USP - Capital: challenges in building assistance and educational pratices to the team work

Abstract

The needs of people with mental disorders extrapolate the health field and require collaboration and partnerships between different sectors, so that the networks of community mental health services should be organized from the intersectoral logic (WHO, 2003). In Brazil, the implementation of networks of community mental health services is recent and it is necessary to develop parameters to orientate the practices and the training of teams. In this way, the qualification of services and teams, linked to investigation strategies, production and systematization of knowledge represent determinant factors to the success in the mental health assistance and its sustainability. This project insert in the context of the proposed activities to the Program of Education by Work (PET) Health/Mental Health - USP and corresponds to a historical need of the education of all health professions who signed the political, social and ethical commitment with the education of professionals properly able to work at SUS.It has the global objective of to know and analyze the needs and care lines in mental health developed in the context of the articulation between the primary health care actions, specialized services and University at the region of São Paulo, covered by Projeto Região Oeste FMUSP and in the interface with the actions of Family Health Supporting Teams of the networks of primary care in Pinheiros, Leopoldina e Lapa.The project will be articulated from complementary subprojects: a) the needs of mental health; b) the network of services and its proposed assistance, and c) the interprofessional education and, strategies to work teamIt should emphasize the assistencial priorities of people with severe mental disorders, people in harmful use of crack, alcohol and other drugs and people in vulnerability/violence situations.The research will be supported by diversified procedures in its execution, data collection and analyze, according to the instrumental of qualitative investigation. It will hold: questionnaires application; deepen interview; focus groups and documental and bibliographical analyses. The subjects of the research will be: under graduated and graduated professionals, users of mental health services and actions and students involved in the PET Mental Health. (AU)
