Current information from the literature identify the auditory evoked potentials (AEP) as a promising diagnostic tool, the focus and objective functional assessment of the auditory system, which investigates the way the sound of the ear to the auditory cortex and has significant contribution in the characterization of school children disorder (PURDY; KELLY; DAVIES, 2002, ANDREADIS et al., 2009). This study aims to study the components of AEP of short, middle and long latency and compare data from the findings of these measures in children with dyslexia, learning disabilities and good children without learning difficulties. The study is a transversal design and quantitative and qualitative and will be descriptive, exploratory and experimental. 45 children, 15 with a diagnosis of learning disabilities, 15 dyslexics and 15 good readers over the age of 08 years will be evaluated, answered and screened on Laboratory Assessment Deviations Learning, Department of Phonoaudiology, School of Philosophy and Science,University Paulista, Marília. The procedure of the study includes auditory evoked potential short, middle and long latency.
