Physical and chemical properties of LDL and HDL, cardiometabolic and oxidative markers can be modulate by consumption of ômega-3, ômega-6 e ômega-9 in adult subjects?


Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of morbidity and mortabilidade worldwide, and its prevalence more accelerated in countries with low and middle income. Despite the reduction in the number of deaths after the discovery of statins, approximately 5% of patients develop adverse effects the use of these drugs, which contraindicate its continued use. Beyond addition, approximately 30% of individuals on statin use remains moderate or high cardiovascular risk. Therefore, changes in style life, and especially in the diet are an important tool in modification of risk factors and, possibly, prevention of events clinicians. In this sense, the use of different fatty acids is potentially interesting intervention, as previously documented in the literature. Despite this fact, the simultaneous evaluation of the effect of omega-3 fatty acids, omega-6 and omega-9 on the physico- chemical, oxidative and cardiometabolic is still little explored in literature and absent in the Brazilian population. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the structural changes of LDL and HDL, as well as cardiometabolic parameters in adults and oxidative underwent intervention with omega-3 omega-6 or omega-9. To this end, will be recruited 400 subjects with cardiovascular risk classified second score of the Framingham risk These individuals will be distributed groups: W-3 (n = 100, 6.0 g / d of fish oil), W-6 (n = 100, 6.0 g / d Sunflower oil - a source of omega-6), W-9 (n = 100, 6.0 g / d of oil Olive - a source of omega 9) and Placebo (n = 100, 6.0 g / d of gelatin). On baseline, 4 and 8 weeks will be assessed the acute effect of interventions on the following parameters: lipid profile and apolipoproteins, LDL and HDL size, fat-soluble antioxidants, oxidation products [LDL (-), LDL (-)], anti-inflammatory markers (CRP and Lp-PLA2), NEFAs, CETP and glucose metabolism (glucose and insulin). Are also monitored the clinical profile, family history of diseases, food consumption, physical activity and parameters anthropometric. Adherence to the intervention will be evaluated by structured questionnaire and biochemical markers. The development of this study aimed at the following outcomes: Primary - Change the physicochemical properties of LDL and HDL, the marcardores cardiometabolic and oxidative. Secondary - Lipid profile, glucose metabolism, anthropometry and body composition. (AU)
