Abstract

20 Wistar rats weighing 250-300 grams are anesthetized with propofol and remifentanil by continuous infusion to achieve D nephrectomy and renal artery clamping and for a period of 30 minutes. The animals will be divided into two study groups according to volume replacement performed: Ringer's lactate or hydroxyethyl starch. Blood samples taken before the completion of nephrectomy and renal ischemia after releasing the clamp, 30 minutes and in the immediate postoperative period for assay of creatinine and NGAL. These doses will be compared to the criterion of Rifle. (AU)
