Cultural communication: research and files of communication, culture and memory inside Germany community in ABC Region (SP)

Abstract

The transformations of the cultural communications processes inside Germany community in the region of ABC Paulista included lots of ways and medias, like mass medias or interpersonal communication. The oral narratives of the individuals from this community expresses their life experiences, imaginaries, wishes, that is possible to investigate as the culture communication process, like diffusion and preservation of the original culture and its community's identity. So, the investigation object is: to identify the communicational process of Germany culture inside the Germany community in the cities of Santo André, São Bernardo do Campo e São Caetano do Sul, analyzing the oral narratives of life history of Germany immigrants or their descendents in the ABC Region. This investigation will also collect documents about the memory of some social organizations like schools, cultural associations or clubs in these cities. This research is justified by the importance of the studies about culture and memory, in relation with communicational process. (AU)
