Abstract
The research aims to analyse the relations between the hegemonic national project and the emergence of the sexuality apparatus during the Brazilian fin-de-siecle. It intends to reconstitute the network of political, scientifica and literary discourses that marked the local configuration of sexuality articulating our critique on nation, the historical research in the archives and the Subaltern Studies perspective, mainly Queer Theory and Post-Colonial Studies resources. Among its results we underline the comprehension of the truth regime that established the hetero-homo binary as a framework in which desire was connected to the building of Brazilian nation. (AU)
