Abstract

The rheumatoid Arthritis (AR) is a chronic inflammatory disease, no supurativa, of the conjunctive fabric, that attacks in a diffuse way the membrane sinovial, surface and other enclosures articulate. The feet and ankles are involved in up to 90% of the cases, but a most of times are objective of late intervention, when the deformities and the pain are accentuated and incapacitantes. The inner soles have been used in the treatment of rheumatoid feet seeking better load distribution in the surface to plant due to the relief of the pain and functional improvement. A lack of studies exists on the use of inner soles with objective instruments of evaluation. However, the objective of that study is to evaluate the distribution of the pressure to plant before in the patients' feet with AIR and after the use of inner soles for 15 days (through the program F-CAN) and to relate the results obtained with the time of disease, clinical activity of the pathology (through Disease Activity Score. OF THE), pain (by Index Functional Foot. FFI), function (through Heath Assessment Questionare. HAQ). They will be appraised 30 patient with AIR in attendance in the clinic of arthritis of the discipline of Rheumatology of the Hospital of Clinics of the State University of Campinas. It is waited that the use of inner soles results in improvement of the distribution of the pressure to plant, could also present improvement of the pain index and function of the feet (FFI). (AU)
