Abstract

Our research interest is centered on the statistical mechanics and thermodynamics of many-body system far away from equilibrium. On its basic aspects our project consists into the study of the foundations, formalisms, and methods associated to this discipline. On the applied side we consider the physical properties of semiconductors (in bulk and low-dimensional ones like quantum wires) under conditions of high excitation, studies of molecular polymers and modelled biophysical systems, and questions of stability of structure in non-equilibrium (dissipative) sytems...
