Abstract
This project develops and implements theoretical and phenomenological aspects of AdS/CFT, AdS/CMT, and AdS/QCD holographic correspondences. We will study generalized black branes in AdS4 and AdS5 as exact solutions in gravity described by Einstein-Hilbert action with a negative cosmological constant, extended by terms involving Lee-Wick gravity, dynamical terms in Einstein and Ricci's cubic gravity and quadratic terms with covariant derivatives of the curvature tensors. Its renormalizability will then be investigated. We will show that the sector involving cubic gravity is consistent with 2-loop quantum corrections to Einstein-Hilbert gravity. For the 1-loop quantum corrections, we will implement the effective Vilkovisky-Barvinsky action on AdS4 and AdS5 and introduce a functional measure. We will study its effects in both the gravitational part and in dual gauge theory, calculating quantum corrections to transport and response coefficients. In AdS5, we will study the phenomenological effects of such quantum corrections, using experimental results and also from lattice QCD, for transport and response coefficients for the quark-gluon plasma in second and third-order dissipative relativistic hydrodynamics. In AdS4, we will study the effects of gravity with higher-order terms on the curvature in strange metals and generalizations of the Lifshitz black brane with impurities, in AdS/CMT, as well as electron stars with superconducting nuclei. Finally, within the scope of AdS/QCD, we will explore hybrid mesons, studying the properties at a finite temperature up to their dissociation. We will investigate exotic mesons, including hadrocharmonia, hadronic molecules, tetraquarks, and pentaquarks, also with approaches using holographic entanglement entropy. (AU)
