Abstract

The assessment of creativity integrated with intelligence is essential for a better understanding of human cognitive potential. The pandemic situation demonstrated the need for digitized instruments that would allow the administration of psychological tests remotely. In a previous study, we developed and validated the Children's Intelligence and Creativity Assessment Battery (BAICI), in printed format. The objective of this research is to adapt and investigate the evidence of validity and reliability of BAICI to the digitized format (BAICIN). Three studies will be carried out, the first being for the adaptation of items from the printed format (BAICI) to the digitized one (BAICIN), the second to investigate the validity evidence of the internal structure and the accuracy and difficulty of its items, and the third to investigate the relationships of BAICIN results with external variables. The initial sample will be composed of 50 children, the second sample of 500 children and the third sample of 200 children, total 750 children, both sexes, aged 9 to 13 years (5 age group), students from public and private schools from 5 Brazilian regions. Evidence of internal structure will be analyzed by factor analysis (exploratory and confirmatory), while the difficulties of the items and their accuracy will be investigated by IRT and Rasch model. The relationship between the intelligence and creativity subtests will be investigated using network analysis Evidence of validity with external variables will be analyzed by the evaluation of their professors, as well as with other tests that evaluate similar constructs, using Pearson's Correlation, Multivariate Analysis of Covariance and Regression analysis. The intention is thus to offer a computerized battery, with scientific evidence of validity and reliability for children's cognitive assessment, with a preliminary proposal for norms interpretation of results. This project has already been approved as a senior productivity grant by CNPQ (AU)
