Production and use of bacteriocinogenic probiotic bacteria: application in the zootechnical sector

Abstract

Visiting researcher Dr. Attilio Converti has actively participated in the development of the projects presented below, and during his visit, the results obtained so far will be discussed. Based on these results, several articles will be prepared, and new directions for projects linked to Thematic Aid 2018/25511-1 will be defined. Below are the research projects in which the visitor will participate as a collaborator or advisor.Project no. 1: Bioprospecting of probiotic bacteria that produce bacteriocins and vitamins: from optimization of cultivation to application in poultry production systemsProject no. 2: Production of probiotic bacteria that produce bacteriocins and vitamins using a shaker-type rotary agitatorProject no. 3: Evaluation of the biotechnological application of new bacteriocinogenic probiotic bacteria: effect on health, antimicrobial action and conservation of Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) meatProject no. 4: Accessing the molecular logic associated with the presence, regulation and bioactivity of bacteriocins present in microbial communities from the gastrointestinal tract of pigs using in silico and in vitro approachesProject no. 5: Probiotics and bacteriocins in Nile tilapia food: effects on zootechnical growth performance, immunology and experimental infectionProject no. 6: Production of probiotic bacteria that produce bacteriocins (AU)
