Institutional Research Technical Reserve: equipment for scientific dissemination of research

Abstract

FAUUSP, thanks to the FAPESP institutional technical reserve from previous years(process 2019/25053-6 and 2021/02544-4), promoted a major modernization of support for research practices, in line with the academic projects of the Architecture and Urbanism and Design courses, prepared in 2018 With those resources, priority was given to investments in equipment and spaces to make it possible to carry out research and consolidate scientific research networks and groups. The proposal presented here is in line with this effort, in continuity with previous investments. FAUUSP has 25 laboratories and 33 research groups, and its professors-researchers participate in a relevant number of research financed, including by FAPESP. Currently, we have 4 thematic projects in progress with Fapesp, 3 regular, 1 Young Researcher. These surveys regularly demand means and equipment both for carrying out research seminars and for scientific dissemination of their results. Today, as is known, these activities take place in a hybrid way, with a lot of weight in face-to-face activities, but also the need for wide dissemination through digital means, including live transmission (streaming). Therefore, this proposal aims to equip an amphitheater at FAU USP to hold seminars and meetings with streaming capacity. The funds from the 2021 and 2022 technical reserve will be used to purchase equipment for this room, including a specific camera for transmission, microphones, a soundboard, large monitors for face-to-face projection, etc. (AU)
