Annual Plan of Implementation of the Technical Reserve for Infrastructure in Institutional Research at the Museum of Zoology, USP


This request for the use of the Institutional Technical Reserve includes items of Permanent Material, Consumable Material and Third-Party Services to support the research lines of the Museum of Zoology at USP. The MZ Administration, together with the Unit's Research and Innovation Commission and with the consent of its Deliberative Council, defined as priorities the purchase of inputs, services and equipment for the Scientific Division, including all its laboratories, which will impact directly in the maintenance, expansion and improvement of our collections and research projects. Thus, the present proposal contemplates the purchase and acquisition of the following equipment and services, in the Scientific Division: 1) For all Laboratories, including the multi-user ones, the purchase of 5,000 liters of ethanol is requested; 2) For all Laboratories, including the multi-user ones, the purchase of 32,000 vials is requested to house the specimens of the respective collections; 3) For all Laboratories, including multi-user ones, the purchase of 12 computers is requested; 4) For the Taxidermy laboratory, it is requested to hire Third Party Services to assist the Birds and Mammals Sections; 5) for collections of invertebrates in liquid medium, the purchase of 50 steel drawers is requested (requirement of the firefighters) and, 6) for the Molecular Biology Laboratory, the acquisition of software, for a global total of BRL 368,683.00.
