Abstract

Verdaz brings to the market an intelligent connection platform to give new value to solid waste. Our solution consists of an information system for solid waste management and reverse logistics using intelligent techniques, in a web and mobile environment, to assist in pain related to planning, relationship and management in the waste chain. Thus, we have developed smart technology to automate processes and flows, optimize decision making, track, make waste management and circular economy programs more efficient and reliable. In addition, our proposal brings new approaches converging with industry trends 4.0 and SmartCities, such as the "4.0" intelligent weighing process, that is, automated scales with sensors that will provide weight-related data to the system through an integrated mobile application. Our technology assists generators in their routine operation and management of solid waste and inserts the user into a unified, integrated environment of intelligent connection. One of the main challenges in validating our technology has been to find a partner that has a diversity of waste, types and classes generated in different sectors in its operational routine, with different actors involved (storage, collection, receipt, recycling) and that has the need to control and manage this entire context. In addition, in order for the system to be fully used, it was necessary to seek a partner who would have to organize and manage the process of collecting and transporting waste between different points and areas of generation for later process of receiving and entering specific stock. Here the partner company, IPT - Instituto de Pesquisas Tecnológicas, fits in quite assertively. The IPT has several laboratories and sectors, with managers at different levels, a great diversity of waste (laboratory, construction, recyclables, scrap, etc.) and greater control over the data and processes of generation, receipt and disposal thereof, controlling each point of generation and tracking of these residues, factors that are closely related to the points to be treated by the system.
