Application of the portion of the Technical Reserve for Institutional Infrastructure Costs for Research at the UNESP Aquaculture Center: Base 2021

Abstract

Aquaculture Center of São Paulo State University is nowadays composed by 41 specialists working with several themes in aquaculture. In this universe, at least 27 researchers are awarded the CNPq PQ scholarship. This situation is reflected in management activities in Public Policies, such as consultancies and advisory services, since some members of CAUNESP have systematically occupied important coordination and representation functions in national development agencies and in the elaboration of these Public Policies in the area of Aquaculture and Fisheries Resources of Interior Waters. CAUNESP, in its institutional format as an Interunit Center, is integrated by the Faculty of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences of Jaboticabal, by the Biosciences Institute of Rio Claro, Institute of Biosciences, Letters and Exact Sciences of São José do Rio Preto, Faculty of Sciences of Bauru, Botucatu Biosciences Institute, Botucatu College of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics, Ilha Solteira Faculty of Engineering, Dracena Faculty of Agricultural and Technological Sciences, São Vicente Biosciences Institute and Faculdade de Ciências Agrárias do Vale do Ribeira - Registro. This characteristic allows the Center's activities to be capillarized by its member units, in its associated laboratories. In this way, CAUNESP's institutional character is reinforced and its impact on the spread of knowledge is expanded. (AU)
