Different approaches in the strongly interacting matter study

The aim of the following project is the study of strongly interacting matter in different frameworks by using distinct approaches, with application in the description of neutron stars. One of the investigations to be performed is the analysis of hadronic equations of state (EOS), since the correct knowledge of such equations is extremely important in order to reach a correct and even more precise understanding of the nuclear force and nuclear structures such as those studied in astrophysics. We intend to construct and improve some effective hadronic models, namely, relativistic mean-field (RMF) ones, those in which the quark content is taken into account in the nucleon structure, namely, the quark-meson-coupling model (QMC), and the recent van der Waals model with quantum statistics applied to nuclear matter. Aspects of infinity nuclear matter in symmetric and asymmetric systems will be investigated at zero temperature regime, as well as the effect of the inclusion of magnetic field in the EOS. Finally, we also intend to study all these different aspects of hadronic matter from the astrophysical point of view by taking into account the recent observations regarding the LIGO/Virgo Collaboration (GW170817 event related to the gravitational waves detection). The idea is to test all the hadronic models against the constraints coming from these astrophysical observations. (AU)
