Hydrogen production from glycerol steam reforming using perovskites catalysts.

Abstract

In this project, the glycerol obtained in the biodiesel chain will be used as a renewable raw material to obtain hydrogen by steam reforming. Nickel and cobalt catalysts derived from perovskite type structures and also dispersed in the Ce-La / SiO2 supports will be developed. We are expected that the catalysts to be active, selective and resistant to coke deactivation. Research groups from UFBA and USP-São Carlos will collaborate in this research, making available their laboratory infrastructures and their scientific knowledge. (AU)
