Multi-user Equipent approved in grant 2017/22401-8 - Gas Chromatograph FID TCD headspace with automatic injector

Abstract

The Automatic Injection Headspace Gas Chromatograph - FID - TCD is the prime importance to quantify and qualify the biogas generated in the headspace of anaerobic reactors, especially hydrogen, methane, carbon dioxide and H2S. Furthermore, in the proposed configuration it will be possible to evaluate the generations of the liquid phase metabolites which are volatile fatty acids and alcohols. Importantly, in the organic waste proposed in this Grant project other high value-added metabolites may be generated during anaerobic digestion and the acquisition of this equipment is essential for carrying out the proposed tests. In addition there is no similar equipment nearby, favoring the research of students, companies, institutes and biological treatment plants in determining such in the other institutes (AU)
