Abstract

Caverna do Diabo State Park (PECD) is part of the Jacupiranga Conservation Units Mosaic and is located in the Ribeira Valley, south of São Paulo State, in a region with the largest remnants of the Atlantic Forest in Brazil. The PECD receives about 40 thousand visitors per year and was the first cave in the state of São Paulo to have tourism-oriented infrastructure. This proposal aims to identify the supply capacity of the Cavern of the Devil State Park environmental system on a local and regional scale, through studies of underground fauna and microclimate and tourist load capacity (locally) and modeling of use and coverage scenarios. of land (regional). The results of this project may support actions and public policies of the State of São Paulo related to the Caverna do Diabo State Park, such as the revision of the Cave Cave Speleological Management Plan, and the proposition of an environmental zoning of the region, for the supervision and environmental licensing of activities in this region. This project presents itself as a systematization tool and discussion about the indicators of the natural condition in Caverna do Diabo State Park, contributing to the understanding of the variability of changes in underground biodiversity in response to natural and human influences, framing theme 1: " Scientific research that helps to understand how anthropogenic vectors (eg use of pesticides, domestic animals, urban sprawl, etc.) from the surroundings of Conservation Units - UCs act in the degradation / disturbance of their attributes. How to evaluate the impacts of these vectors in the different areas of the PAs? "Of the call" Conservation, restoration and sustainable use of biodiversity in protected areas "- FAPESP / BIOTA CONVENTION - SIMA - FF (AU)
