Sustainable Development Reserves include the conservation of nature as well as the guarantee of the conditions and means necessary for reproduction, the improvement of the quality of life and the sustainable exploitation of natural resources by resident local populations, based on knowledge and management techniques, developed by them. At RDS Barra do Una, recreational fishing has been consolidated and has been practiced for several decades, but there has never been a specific planning and proper management that considers the sustainable use of fishing resources with the involvement of the local population. Thus, this research aims to analyze the recreational fishing developed in the Sustainable Development Reserve of Barra do Una (Peruíbe / SP) with a view to management and planning, through a socio-environmental diagnosis of related activities, characterization in relation to methods, "petrechos", vessels, exploited species, seasonality of catches, mapping of fishing spots and characterization of exploited environments. Strategies will also be formulated and tested for implementation of participatory catch management and monitoring tools and the development of a community training and training program. Innovative experiences of management of activities and services related to recreational fishing in other Conservation Units with potential applicability in RDS Barra do Una will be analyzed. Data will be collected through interviews with the various actors involved; catch data, environmental parameters and fish species will be sampled for ecological analysis. Integrated analyzes will be performed seeking to associate and compare scientific knowledge with local knowledge in order to provide subsidies for the proper management and ordering of recreational fishing.
