Efficiency and innovation in data collection and integration for museums and institutions open to the public

This project aims to develop and commercialize an innovative technological product created to meet the demands of the cultural market, especially for the universe of museums and institutions that receive visitors. The use of information technology has increasingly become a paradigm of quality for museums based on two major trends: growing focus on personalization of visiting experiences and the growing power of data analysis in the organization of museum actions. Faced with this reality, this project has as main objective to expand and qualify the communication and education processes of museums, and other institutions that receive visitors. This target should be reached through the improvement and maintenance of a technological solution, based on the investigation and understanding of relationship strategies of the institutions with their publics. To this end, during the 24 months of the project, the scheduling system and the More Museum Platform will be improved, both in terms of technological development, and operational and commercial relationships between the company and the institutions. Those advances will be based on the attendance and analysis of current and potential users of the system. An analysis will also be carried out focusing on understanding and expanding the possibilities of using the More Museum scheduling system for other institutions that receive organized groups of visitors, aiming to increase the consumer market of the product. As a result, we expect to have an innovative and outstanding platform, that considers the needs of cultural institutions, and other institutions open to the public, that can meet the demands of museums in Brazil and Latin America. Developing and selling a relationship system of museums with their audiences can help to improve the visitor experience, and attract more audiences to cultural institutions. Furthermore, it can also provide relevant information for museums about their audience, which can be useful to find other sponsorship and financial resources, ultimately broadening the access to culture.
