The main purpose of research project will be investigate the mechanisms engaged in fatigue during supramaximal effort in cycling, as well as if these mechanisms are altered with exercise training (i.e.. high-intensity interval training). Therefore, will be used the twitch interpolation technical to measure the central e peripheral fatigue, neuromuscular responses with electromyography response and isometric force, muscle biopsies before and immediately after the exhaustion for analyzing of muscle buffering capacity, muscular pH and enzymatic and metabolic responses, as well as verify the effect of high intensity interval training in these parameters. To answer the main question of project will be performed 2 independent studies, both with minimal 10 participants. The study A will be conducted with muscle biopsies before and after exercise to verify the main metabolics engaged in the fatigue using the metabolomic technical, while the study B will focus in responses of training on rate of use substrate content (muscle biopsy in resting before and after the training) and central and pheripherical fatigue.
