Abstract
The main objective of this project is study the differences and similarities of the day-to day variability of the ionosphere and the thermosphere-ionosphere coupling during quiet and disturbed geomagnetic conditions, using experimental data of GPS-TEC and ionosondes in the Brazilian and African sectors. The topics that will be study are ionosphere response due to solar "Flare" and geomagnetic storm, the generation, evolution, and electrodynamics of ionospheric irregularities of mid and large scale, and the day-to-day, seasonal variability of the equatorial ionization anomaly (EIA), as function of solar cycle.
