The mammalian target of mTOR, a serine / threonine kinase is associated with several cellular activities. Due to the several cellular activities that are attributed to this protein, drugs have been developed inhibiting its function, the mTOR inhibitors (imTOR), represented by sirolimus, and everolimus. ImTOR are associated with severe adverse events (AE), patients on everolimus therapy most commonly exhibit the following AE: hyperlipidemia, dermatitis, oral stomatitis. The mTOR-induced stomatitis (mIAS) has as differential diagnosis recurrent aphthous stomatitis or herpesvirus lesions The aim of this study is to analyze the cytokine profile and to investigate the presence of human herpesviruses during the post-renal transplant period in renal transplant patients who developed or not stomatitis associated with the use of imTOR and to comparatively evaluate patients who use other immunosuppressants; evaluate the incidence of oral lesions in individuals using of imTOR and to analyze possible cytological changes in smears from renal transplant patients, correlating to oral alterations and the drugs used. Saliva, peripheral blood and oral epithelial cells smears will be collected in renal transplant recipients using mTOR inhibitors and other types of immunosuppressive therapies (G1mTOR and G2imuno). The following cytokines will be analyzed: (IL-6, IFN-gama, IL-10, \ IL-8, e TNF-alfa); PCR for the detection and quantification of herpesvirus (whole blood, saliva) polyomaviruses (BK) (whole blood) will be used for viruses screening. The cytological alterations will be studied using the Papanicolau technique. (AU)
