Semantic and structural analysis of the content of dreams of cardiac patients with the diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome in the Acute Coronary Unit

Abstract

Dreams are potentially informative phenomena about pathological and emotional states. Therefore, it should be considered as a privileged source of information about the patient in situations of risk, trauma and recovery, important indicators of clinical-psychological evolution. In this project we will investigate inpatients diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) to investigate the relationship between dream content and clinical and laboratory findings. The objective of this study is to analyze the structure and semantics of the report of dreams of patients with ACS, in order to correlate the variables obtained from the speeches with the clinical and physiological variables monitored in the acute coronary unit, included in the medical records and obtained by laboratory tests. The choice of patients with ACS is justified by the high incidence, broad spectrum of possible prognosis, from small sequelae to death, and the availability of these patients in a hospital environment after the acute event (AU)
