Learning to teach: intergenerational interaction in hybrid contexts through written narratives

Abstract

This proposal has the general objective to count on the support of Profa. Dr. Maria Alfredo Moreira in the analyses of the contributions to learning to teach process brought about by the virtual interaction of experienced teachers, beginners, and graduates on dilemmas and impasses of teaching, through an intergenerational dialogue in a hybrid space. In order to do so, two perspectives will be investigated - the group in the Intergenerational Dialogue in the induction of beginners and teachers dyads´ of the Hybrid Mentoring Program, respectively, funded by the CNPQ (Process 404133/2016-9) and FAPESP (proc. 16/25412-8). These initiatives are aimed at creating a hybrid space for professional development where both in-person and distance learning actions can be developed. These combined actions are articulated with the Teachers' Portal through a professional network. The hybrid space can favor the mediation of experiences, through the interactions established between the partners (graduates, beginning and experienced teachers, and university researchers). In view of the current demands on the teaching roles, as is the case, of the performance in contexts other than those in which they were formed, for example, with the use of TDIC's, it is understood as relevant the provision of training opportunities planned and based on their experiences professionals to encourage them, individually and collectively, to reflect on conceptions, beliefs, ideas and practices about teaching and learning, student characteristics, and diverse representations of content. As data source will be used narratives written in the virtual environment of ReAD and in PHM, obtained through participation in forums, production of memorials training and journal writing reflexive and specifically in the PHM interactions between beginners and their mentors - which have occurred in the Moodle virtual environment and also via Whatsapp. The prof. Maria Alfredo Moreira, in addition to her participation in the research to be conducted, during her stay in Brazil, will offer a course with the PPGE-UFSCAR, participate in a seminar at UPMACKENZIE and a roundtable at FFCLRP-USP, besides participating in conversations with undergraduate and graduate students of these institutions.
