Abstract

The implementation of the technological standard of the green revolution in Brazil has brought serious environmental and social impacts resulting from unbridled deforestation, degradation of edaphic and water resources by inadequate management, expansion of monocultures into an ecological reality of high biodiversity and increasing and abusive use of agrochemicals. In contrast to these problems, organic and agroecological production has advanced within the scope of the Brazilian agricultural production sector, which focuses on the ecological and biological dimension, seeking energy, productive, ecological and social efficiency, as well as the correct use of resources natural and internal to agroecosystems, and the exclusion of the productive process from the inputs that are aggressive to humans and the environment. The project aims to research, validate and socialize orientations, techniques, methods, practices and processes that are productive and ecologically compatible with the socioeconomic reality of regional agriculture. Experiments and technological validations will be conducted at the School Farm of the University of Araraquara-SP and on the properties of local family farmers involved with the initiative, from organizational and participative processes under construction with this segment and its formal organizations. The Project will last two years and an estimated cost of R$197.239,10. It is hoped that sustainable practices of natural resources management and efficient productive technologies will be consolidated to guarantee a greater autonomy of the productive system and exclusion of aggressive practices to the human being and environment. The results will be disseminated and socialized with the productive sectors familiar to the region, technical-professional segments and the scientific community. (AU)
