Institutional Research Infrastructure of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences - 2018 (Base 2017)

Abstract

The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences is UNICAMP's newest unit and started its operations in the second half of 2014. Its teaching staff consists of 16 full-time professors, including three full professors, four associate professors, nine doctored professors and one researcher. FCF has 238 Pharmacy undergraduate students and 25 Postgraduate students in Pharmaceutical Sciences, being 13 Master's and 12 PhD ones. The present Institutional Technical Reserve (ITR) for Infrastructure and Research will significantly boost the Faculty's research, creating future perspectives for the submission of new scientific projects. From this point of view, the proposal for the mobilization of the ITR fund has been discussed by the Unit's Governance Committee, previously approved by the Congregation, with the aim of outlining specific directives for the use of such resources as well as the ones FCF might receive from FAPESP. Therefore, the present proposal for the application of resources was established on the basis of the following guidelines: the use of approximately 50% of the total sum for the Unit's professors' basic research infrastructure. The remainder should support the activities developed in the professors' research laboratories which, in turn, generated the ITR for the Faculty. The improvement of research conditions in these laboratories will allow the incorporation of more professors as well as researchers to both present and future projects related to their respective areas.
