This product has been developed through Phases 1 and 2 of the PIPE-FAPESP, when the activities focused at establish the Port Forecast-Safety Integrated System (SIPS): Forecast model for coastal ports management. The success of the ongoing development produced a computational system that provides forecast data of environmental conditions and risk alerts for coastal areas. The benefits of this product will improve port operations and activities of coastal use and exploitation. Since the beginning of the project, port managers and other potential clients frequently inspected our developments and stated that our system holds strong innovation, with scientific and technical relevance. Our challenges now resides in the field of data visualization, graphic web-mobile design and technical validation of the advanced modules. The main goals of this project are: construct a graphical user interface to be visualized at personal desktops and smartphones; improve design and brand strength of the product; validate the Risk Module and the Meteorological Module; calibrate and validate the system in a base case scenario; maintain the close relationship to potential clients and continuously input their impressions and needs; couple the system to a Green Port Certification; disseminate our innovation in technical and commercial fairs. Methodology consists in: develop a web and mobile interface, integrated automatically with all SIPS modules after validation; provide dynamic maps, graphics, tables and reports to the end user; establish a strong and reliable brand, with visual identity and a product animation; to perform simulations with experts to validate the risk module and meteorological module and integrate the data sharing in a secure and reliable network; calibrate a base case scenario at southeast Brazilian coast, to demonstrate the reliability and to raise the value of the system; dedicate efforts to visit potential clients at site, registering their observation about the product; partnership with a certification agency, to perform technical and documental adjusts at the product; present the product at national and international fairs. With the success of the present project, a strong value raise is expected. It will be established a user-friendly interface with the end user, designed at professional level with reliable technical background. The system will be able to solve all oceanographic, meteorological and risk concerns at coastal activities, which solution will be stated after the system validation. The creation of a high level forecast system, unique in Brazil and Latin America will aggregate great value to the company and will consequently raise the revenues expected for the SIPS services.
