Methodologies to evaluate the properties of indirect restorative materials in relation to different substrates: innovative techniques and future studies


According to the benefits derived from international partnerships with professors of high level institutions, the Postgraduate Program in Restorative Dentistry of the Institute of Science and Technology, Unesp São José dos Campos started and preserves a scientific partnership since 2005 with the professor doctor Mutlu Özcan. Currently, the professor acts as a teacher and head of the Department of Dental Materials at the Dental School of Zurich University. This partnership has been very fruitful both institutions as several research papers have been published in high impact journals. The visit of Professor Dr. Mutlu Özcan aims to propose new research projects, discussion of projects in progress, assistance in writing and selection of periodicals for submission of completed articles. In addition, lectures will be given in English on the new three-dimensional printing technology and its impacts on dentistry, as well as a lecture on adhesive dentures as alternatives to dental implants. Finally, in the meetings described in the schedule of activities, Dra Multu Özcan will also talk about the optimization of time and human financial resources in the execution of projects. (AU)
