Abstract

The activities will be carried out as following. The Professor Villar-Cociña will participate as advisor and collaborator in the following research projects entitled: Curing technology in an environment saturated of CO2 for fiber cement constructive elements, financed by FAPESP and granted to Holmer Savastano Junior- P. 2013/50897-7) and the project: Advanced ecoefficient technologies in cement based products (aeCEM). Process CNPq #465593/2014-3. General coordinator: Prof. Vanderley M. John (EPUSP). Coordinator at FZEA USP Pirassununga: Holmer Savastano Junior. The research activities include: 1. Implementation of new techniques related to the study of the pozzolanic activity of materials added to cement matrix of fiber cement, application of mathematical models for determination of the kinetic and thermodynamic parameters of the pozzolanic reaction in pozzolan-calcium hydroxide system and pozzolan-cement system, reaction mechanism of pozzolanic systems, and determination of the optimal dosage of these materials as mineral additions to cement. 2. Contribution to Postgraduate course entitled: Special Topics on Methodologies for valorization of agro-industrial residues as materials for engineering application - mineral additions of high added value. 3. Contribution with the preparation of big scale project (thematic project): Use of bamboo as material for engineering utilization - from the ashes to the whole structure. 4. Meetings with research groups at USP Pirassununga, São Carlos and Piracicaba. 5. Contribution in evaluation committees (qualifying exam for Thais Magalhães). 6. The preparation of a big scale project (thematic size project) will also allow establishing a network of scientific collaboration with the participation of several centers with interest in the pozzolanic characterization of residues (EESC USP, EP USP, UFLA, CEFET MG, UFAM, UFPB and PUC Rio).
