Optimization techniques applied to biosystems

Abstract

The presented project concerns the coming of the researcher Sanja Petrovic of the University of Nottingham, England, UK, for a technical visit at the Institute of Biosciences IB UNESP Botucatu. In response to the invitation from the Program of Post - Graduation in Biometrics from UNESP, for participation and partnership in several projects of Mathematics Applied to Biosystems. We sought the partnership of the researcher Sanja Petrovic due to her extensive experience in the area of mathematical optimization modeling and computational techniques and her excellent curriculum in this area. The researcher will be able to contribute to several projects under development at Biometrics postgraduate program and propose new and important scientific projects and techniques to the students and professors members of this postgraduate course. The researcher, in addition to being very competent in this area of research, is open to discussions and collaborations, and therefore will consolidate a research partnership between the universities of Nottingham University Business School, UK and UNESP.
