International scientific cooperation with laboratory of assessment and rehabilitation of equilibrium: LARE of Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto

Abstract

This Project aims to Dr. Manuel Montero-Odasso' technical visit to intellectual contribution in the graduate students' research projects of Laboratory of Assessment and Rehabilitation of Equilibrium - LARE, Rehabilitation and Functional Performance Program - Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto - FMRP/USP. In addition, meetings about risk prevent and assessment of falls in older adults, as well as, protocols of assessment and screening of older adults with mild cognitive impairment performed in Gait and Brain Lab will happen among Dr. Montero-Odasso and LARE's team. This training meeting will help in assessments and research performed in the LARE for both individuals identification and enable better control of the inclusion criteria in our researches. Graduate students' research Project of LARE will be discussed with Dr. Montero-Odasso in meetings involving all LARE's team. A lecture to the USP community about prevention, and assessment implications of risk of falls in older adults with mild cognitive impairment will be given by professor, presenting research results performed in Gait and Brain Lab.
