The British academies Academy of Medical Sciences, British Academy, Royal Academy of Engineering and Royal Society, and the National Council of State Research Support Foundations (Confap) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on September 23, 2014, to which FAPESP has adhered. The memorandum aims to promote the increasing exchange and collaboration of research and innovation between the UK and Brazil. The initiative is supported by the Newton Fund.
