The Special Projects, within the "Special Projects" Program, were intended to foster studies on topics of greater scientific and social interest by individual researchers or research groups from one or more research centers in the state of São Paulo, during 1970 and 1988. The Thematic Projects, assembling scientific teams, have replaced the Special Projects since 1990.
